Hello from the other side of what is currently my longest bike-ride ever! It was a leg-numbing headache-inducing experience but I’m proud (so proud!) that I’ve completed a ride like this. My loops are getting bigger and bigger. Every outing in the same direction ends up being further than the previous one. A good development! Okay this is going to sound a little pretentious (or maybe even a lot) but as of late I’m starting to see myself more and more as a documentarian. A person who’s job it is to document and register for times to come. A person who preserves the future for the present (not coincidentally that’s how I’ve currently formulated my mission statement). I cycled 25k to revisit all three locations of The Silence Around [https://mitchellens.ink/the-silence-around] this afternoon. I love dark mode on my website. I love all 246 posts in my journal. I love that writing compliments taking photos. I love photography. I love looking at photos I’ve taken on past trips. I love the thought of soon going on adventure again. I love making stuff for myself. I love being able to wear a hat with my own logo on it. I love that I do everything myself. I love that I can wake up and decide what to do everyday. I love that I’ve chosen to work part-time. I love de lens.

Good news. Great news, even! The lovely folks of WPPOOL have helped me refine the look of the dark mode on my website. I now consider it good enough to enable it for all visitors! Perhaps there’ll be some tinkering with it, of course there will be tinkering, and the results will be even more stunning. But I digress. Wash away the strain with the rain that’s steadily falling from the sky. A day filled with things to ponder is a day weighing heavy on the mind. A good stroll still is the best strategy to remedy such situations. A second outside to make up for every minute inside. A simple solution that we turn too not often enough. I wonder. To be perfectly honest, I am a little over writing Monologues every day. I’m sure I’m being misguided but I feel like I’ve gained from daily writing what there was to gain. I really want to focus on writing longer more in-depth pieces now. This will also help to increase the frequency of my newsletter and I want to write longer think pieces for my blog. We’ve had the two cutest little Chihuahuas staying at our place this afternoon. Though the cats did not agree on the cute part. The moment we set foot, or paw, into the door it was raised backs and big tails galore. The two Chihuahuas didn’t seem to mind that much, though you could also tell they’ve been welcomed more hospitable in the past.
